Working and schooling as a healthcare provider, (more specifically a Licensed Practical Nurse,) a massive amount of stress is encountered. It not only takes a toll on your body but on your mind. While aiding people in recovery can be rewarding, the oath and dedication to see the betterment of others may inadvertently override the care you provide for personal well being. You become so consumed with being the savior that you end up needing one - if the stress and lifestyle are not managed appropriately. I personally have gained first hand knowledge at what it looks like to be stressed and an inadequate diet.
