Supporting early childhood education through essential CPR and first aid training

We’re thrilled to share the success of our statewide contract awarded by the Early Childhood Education Professional Development Organization (ECE PDO) at the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) from January 1, 2021, to June 30, 2021. This contract was a significant step for us, enabling Pacific Medical Training to help create safer learning environments for young children across Pennsylvania by providing crucial CPR and first aid training.

Our Role in Professional Development

As part of the ECE PDO’s professional development training project, we delivered specialized courses designed to equip early childhood educators with vital lifesaving skills. Our scope included:

• Pediatric first aid CPR AED online – Blended + virtual training: This course combined online components with virtual skills testing, allowing flexibility in learning without compromising the critical hands-on element.
• Pediatric first aid CPR AED online – In-person training: For those preferring a more traditional approach, we provided in-person training with skills testing options, both virtual and in-person, to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.

Based on the latest American Heart Association guidelines as of December 2020, these courses ensured that our educators received up-to-date, relevant training.

Streamlined Program Management

To make the training process seamless for both PASSHE administrators and students, we offered comprehensive program management services:

• Consolidated Reporting: Weekly consolidated reports allowed PASSHE to monitor the progress of every registered student. Our reports also highlighted any incomplete courses, with arrangements made for necessary remediation.
• Onboarding and Support: We provided centralized support via phone and email to assist both administrators and students, handling everything from inquiries to troubleshooting. Scheduling was managed directly with each student, making the training process as accessible as possible.
• Integrated Registration Process: We worked closely with the PD Registry to manage student registrations and instructor information, ensuring a streamlined process from start to finish.

We are proud to highlight our continued success in securing significant contracts that affirm our commitment to excellence in training and professional development. In addition to the PASSHE contract, we were awarded two statewide contracts by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC) for the periods July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023, and July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024, further cementing our role as a trusted partner in education and training. Additionally, we achieved a milestone with an unprecedented CPR contract from the Department of the Army, awarded as a total small business set-aside. This partnership allows us to provide essential CPR training to soldiers at Fort Gordon, exemplifying our ability to deliver high-quality, impactful training across diverse sectors.

By equipping educators with essential CPR and first aid skills, we are directly supporting the safety and well-being of Pennsylvania’s youngest learners.
