Cassandra Upchurch, MSN, RN, CDP

Cassandra Upchurch, MSN, RN, CDP became a registered nurse in 2007. She completed her BSN at West Chester University in 2007 and her MSN in nursing administration at La Salle University in 2021. Her background includes critical care, acute care, home health and hospice care, managed care, long-term care and skilled nursing, leadership and nursing administration, bloodless medicine, nursing education, patient blood management, legal nurse consulting, clinical liaison, and infection prevention.

Cassandra is the owner and lead instructor of First Aid & CPR Academy LLC and Core Institute for Care Providers. She has published multiple articles in medical and nursing journals and has presented at national and international conferences on bloodless medicine, business, and care delivery.

She has served as adjunct faculty at Widener University, Gwynedd Mercy University, and Delaware County Community College schools of nursing.
