The Edward-Elmhurst Healthcare Community Training Center is one of the largest training centers in the Chicago area. Annually we train more than 12,000 individuals in CPR, First Aid and Advanced Life Support. In addition to classes offered at Edward Hospital and Elmhurst Hospital, the Community Training Center also offers classes at businesses, churches and schools. If you aren?t able to make it to one of our class locations, online learning is a convenient option. Average completion time for the online portion (Part 1) is 1-2 hours with a 30-60 minute skill test required. Students who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate which allows them entrance to a hands-on skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3), which must be completed with an AHA BLS Instructor within 60 days of completing the online portion. We suggest you schedule Parts 2 and 3 within 30 days of completing Part 1 to give yourself enough time. An AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card will be issued upon successful completion of all three parts.
